Can’t find anything good in social networking? Try harder.
My wife and I had been considering canceling her gym membership that was basically an expensive elliptical rental and buying the machine with the money we would save. This way it would be something we both could benefit from. Knowing that practically everyone has had that old treadmill sitting in the corner collecting dust in their home at one time or another I suggested we ask on Facebook if anyone had an elliptical for sale. Within minutes one of my wife’s teaching colleagues commented on her status that not only did she have an elliptical machine that she was not using, but she said that we could have it for free. We were both taken back by her generosity.
I picked up the machine yesterday, and brought it home. Tonight I cleaned it up and brought it into the house. It’s not the best machine money can buy, but it’s certainly better than anything that would have cost us money.
